Recently the mayor of San Juan del Sur, Eduardo Hollmann, broke ground on a new tourist boulevard being constructed along the beachfront road in the southwest portion of town.
Working on the Main Street
The old 'Calle Principal" or Main Street, will be replaced with a new boulevard providing ample space for pedestrian and car traffic, giving shade to the foot traffic and creating parking spaces along the boulevard.
Central park
The mayor of San Juan del Sur recently completed a total facelift of the central park in front of the town's church, installing new benches, lampposts, stairs, trees and a playground.

Pali, a major supermarket chain throughout Central America, completed their San Juan del Sur branch and opened their doors on Christmas.
