Community RE-Fund challenges buyers to donate a small percentage of the cost of their investment to a fund, administered by a locally operated non-profit called Comunidad Connect. The buyer's donation is matched on a percentage basis by Aurora Beachfront and other participating real estate agencies and developers. Then the money is directed towards specific community projects and a program designed to expand the economic base of San Juan del Sur through small business development.

As the local communities acquire more assets and become more economically and socially stable, property values appreciate. Therefore, RE-Fund is mutually beneficial and results in improved relations between the local and foreign residents of Nicaragua.
