Infrastructure Advances as Buyer's Market Returns.
Over the past year the coastline of Nicaragua has seen dramatic change. New highways, roads & pedestrian sidewalks have been installed throughout much of the country. The recently finished highway leading from the Pan-American to the sleepy coastal town of San Juan del Sur was completed late 2008. Also under construction are two additional coastal roads, one leading to the beaches of Casares, Huehuete, La Boquita and the other leading to the beaches Poneloya & Las PeƱitas. These roads are are scheduled to be complete by January 2010.
In local infrastructure news, the new 'Chocolata' road located in the foothills of San Juan del Sur has commenced construction and is planned to be complete by the end of March 2009.
